The sun reclaims its glowing throne
The dawning light shines on the holy desert
Eternal gale of sand and stone
Shrouds the tracks we carve in the dirt
Abandoned echoes of an age that died
Ring out through this arid plain
Pounding hooves stamp the land cracked and dried
And plunge through the fiery bane
Biting wind rolls down from high
Wayward earth quakes from beneath
Torrent of grit roaring from purple sky
A lonely god’s anger unleashed
Battered with hermetic dread
Slaves of isolation drawing near
I feel a force, a prophetic godhead
It warms the air, to thaw my fear
A man born from an ancient rite
With eyes of silver moonlight
A hand of swiftness and of ruin
Wisdom of the seers is proven

Jordan Vauvert

I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
